Where did May go?? I did get more layouts in my LOAD challenge done, but unfortunately, I did fall off the wagon about mid-month.
We were presented with one offer that didn't pan out on our house, and then within the same week, a second offer that has worked out. And even then, a third cash offer that we turned down. I've gone from planning summer vacation to looking at resales, debating between building (and living in an apartment in the meantime), and then back to looking at resales. We've now made two offers, both of which were fabulous houses that we SHOULD have been able to afford if the sellers had any sense of the market, but both were too caught up in the "my house has X Y and Z" and it's worth more (and obviously didn't NEED to sell), so therefore they weren't motivated. I think now, we've set our sights on two houses where the sellers are in fact motivated. Hubby just went to drop off all the contract papers to the realtor for the first one we're going to try for and hopefully this can all be done with quickly.
There's much (so MUCH MORE) to tell, but I don't have the energy at the moment. Spring sports are finally over, kids are out of school, our house passed inspections with flying colors, and it'd be nice to get set in a routine for summer instead of deal with constant house headaches. Matthew's birthday is at the end of the week, and we're supposed to be packing . . . poor kid will have no party it appears this year.
I hope there will be more soon . . . take care if I fall off the blogging wagon yet again in the next few weeks and keep checking back!
